Our Choir was founded in 1974. We are affiliated with the University of Windsor and we perform a combination of sacred and contemporary works. We are a non-denominational,  non auditioning choir from all around Windsor and Essex county.

Windsor Community Choir

Our Choir was founded in 1974. We are affiliated with the University of Windsor and we perform a combination of sacred and contemporary works. We are a non-denominational,  non auditioning choir from all around Windsor and Essex county.

 

The Windsor Community Choir is celebrating its 45th Year of sharing music as a community. We are looking for all past, present and future members to join us this season to celebrate 45 years of sharing the joy of Music. We especially would like to welcome more men of the tenor variety. So if you know anyone or are interested yourself, now is the time to act all are welcome.  We meet Tuesday nights for practice  at 7 Pm. First Lutheran Church,  160 Giles BLVD W Windsor ON.



 

Musical Director 

After getting her feet wet in world of opera, Erin Armstrong has returned to Windsor to continue her educational career.  A graduate of the University of Windsor School of Music she went on to study at the University of British Columbia and the Calgary Opera’s Emerging Artist Program and for the past seven years has performed in operas across Canada and has featured as a soloist with Windsor Symphony.  She returned to Essex County last year where she joined forces with Dr. Joel Tranquilla to perform Puccini’s Suor Angelica with the University Chamber Choir. 

Erin is the Director of Music Moves Kids and teaches out of her studio In-Tune.

Eric Swiatoschik

Eric is a composer and pianist from Windsor, Ontario. He has a master's degree in music composition from Western University and has studied composition with Peter Paul Koprowski and David Myska and piano with Leslie Kinton. His music has been performed by Ensemble Made in Canada, Reverb Brass, Windsor Symphony Orchestra, and at the 2012 International Horn Day.
